TWO DIAGNOSTIC PRODUCTS · ONE CUSTODY SUBSTRATE

AI interaction records are discoverable evidence. What happens next depends on who’s asking.

Every prompt, output, and trace your AI systems generate sits somewhere as a record. Those records are discoverable in litigation, subpoena-able by regulators, and often retained longer than operators realize. Countervail and Interpose are the two products we build on top of that reality.

Countervail reviews the custody surface (a place where records are held by someone other than you) for legal exposure, preservation burden, and matter defensibility. Interpose underwrites defense-cost coverage (the legal fees of responding to a records demand) for the same substrate. Both products read shared vendor intelligence, custody layer taxonomy, and scan surfaces.

SHARED SUBSTRATE
VENDOR INTEL
Reference-assessed posture for 20+ AI providers, observability tools, and storage layers.
CUSTODY LAYERS
Twelve-layer taxonomy covering ingress through downstream propagation.
RECORD CLASSES
Eighteen record classes spanning prompts, outputs, traces, and metadata.
SCAN SUBSTRATE
Evidence-strength classification with provenance tagging and mitigation detection.
Countervail and Interpose interpret the same substrate differently. Countervail frames findings as legal exposure and preservation burden. Interpose frames them as defense-cost volatility, controllability reduction, claim severity, and portfolio correlation.
